I open here a space for the new ideas to share.
It will be nice if we can run an online song contest. But not an usual one.
I have realized that almost all artists expose their music in the
Web hoping that somebody listens to it, comments it and in the best
cases of obtaining a record label contract.Very few listen to and
add commentaries in the songs of other artists. Immediate goal of this contest will be: to cause that other artists are interested in your work. HOW THAT?, this
contest was thought for different artists: LYRICIST,
MUSICIANS AND SINGERS to work together in one or more projects. For the contest the applyed song must be a coproduccion of three artists: singer, musician and lyricist. That way will help singers find musicians and musicians find lyrics and singers. This is only an idea, and I hope can be developed with new suggestions. Sure also we need sponsorship!
The way this contest will work? Lyricist, musicians and
singers will apply the entries - by separate for the contest...
they can participate in many projects as they like to.. all
the artist in the contest will interact with others to find out their
needs and finalise the project together. This common project will
be accepted and selected for the final contest.
The sponsorship will fix the jury, the deadlines of the contest and the prizes.
If this idea does not prosper, please participates with new ideas here. We can leave this group as a point of contact between songwriters, lyricists, musicians and singers.
